Unbreakable Spirit. Two Nations, One Kippah.

Unbreakable Spirit. Two Nations, One Kippah.

Following the aftermath of the devastating events in Bondi, a moment that shook our community and the wider Australian public alike, we were left sitting with a mix of grief, shock, and a strong sense that Jewish visibility, connection, and solidarity mattered more than ever.

Out of that moment came the decision to create something tangible. Not loud. Not political. Just grounded, thoughtful, and quietly affirming.

This collection of Australian kippot is our way of acknowledging where we live, who we are, and the importance of community during times that feel uncertain.

A Design That Reflects Place and Identity

Kippot are steeped in tradition, but they’re also deeply personal. They can hold faith, culture, and belonging all at once. We wanted to create kippot that felt grounded in who we are.

There are two Australian kippah designs in the collection. One is a quiet nod to our national sporting identity and features green and gold. The second draws directly from the colours of the Australian flag, using red, white, and blue.

Both designs share the same symbolic structure. A Magen David sits at the crown, anchoring the kippah in Jewish tradition, while the Commonwealth Star and Southern Cross reference the country we call home. Together, the elements reflect two cultures held side by side

They are recognisably Jewish and unmistakably Australian.

Designed After Bondi, With Community in Mind

The Bondi attacks remind us of how important local community institutions are when people need support, reassurance, and connection.

In response, this collection will give back in a practical way.

For every Australian kippah sold, $1.80 is donated to Chabad of Bondi until end of March 2026. To purchase yours, take a look at the collection here to add to your cart.

Chabad of Bondi plays a vital role in supporting Jewish life locally, particularly in times of crisis.

There is no single right way to respond to difficult moments. For us, this was about creating something that reinforces connection and community.

After all. Light will win.
