Naomi & Lucas: A Blue Mountains Wedding

It is always a delight to see how a celebration comes together for our clients. Choosing and designing the kippot may seem merely a small detail for many couples. Afterall, there are just so many details when it comes to planning a wedding. Choosing the right kippah can however be very impactful to the overall look and feel of any simcha.

It was a Parklands Country Gardens Blue Mountains affair for Naomi and Lucas. A spring wedding with the chuppah set amongst the cascading wisteria, which honestly did a lot of the decorating on its own. Romantic, relaxed, and quietly beautiful.

Kippotopia were thrilled to play a part, albeit a very small one on the day. Naomi and Lucas chose our custom ivory suede kippot, each one personalised on the inside for their wedding day. The ivory suede was a perfect fit for the setting. Soft and understated, it worked beautifully with the garden surroundings and the light, neutral palette they’d chosen.

Some of Naomi and Lucas’ friends and family weren’t Jewish, and for them this was their first Jewish wedding. Rather than feeling unsure or out of place, guests embraced the tradition of wearing the kippah. With subtle personalisation inside the kippah, it became not just a keepsake for their guests but a small meaningful reminder of a day where they felt included and part of something special.

The chuppah by Ahava Designs, was a simple white structure adorned with flowers and greenery that echoed Naomi’s bouquet and the overall styling of the day: hydrangea, phalaenopsis orchids, and roses.

The setting, the flowers, and the small details all worked together naturally. The personalised kippot were a great way for guests to participate in the celebration. Mazel Tov Naomi and Lucas.
